The Ref. 648A Automatic is the lesser-known and much harder to find older brother of the Ingenieur model. Both featuring oversized 36.5mm cases, the 648A is in many ways a very similar watch to the Ingenieur Ref. 666AD. It share the same caliber as the Ingenieur, the automatic C853. Also dial layout is very similar. This example comes in a steel unpolished case and the dial is mint and unmolested too. Crown’s original and all the components of the watch are all very well preserved.
