General Overview
Antoine LeCoultre founded the original Swiss company in 1833, and his company became known as «LeCoultre & Cie.» in the 19th century, later partnering with Edmond Jaeger in 1903 to form «Jaeger-LeCoultre,» but the "LeCoultre" name continued to be used on watches sold in the USA.
Jlc used to supply dial and movements for the Us market, under the LeCoultre brand, while they used local case producer for Gold Cases. One of the most important was Di Vincenzo & Arienti from Ny (D&A).
Description and Condition Report
Pleased to offer a very rare LeCoultre Helm vintage watch form the 1950s. The model is named Helm for the shape similarities with a ship helm. The watch is made in 14Kt Rose Gold. The size is 34mm approximately. The original dial is the best configuration possible on this model: dual tone (white in the center and black in the outer ring) and with two different guilloche finishing, honeycomb and striped. Hand wind Jlc 480/CW caliber. The case is beautifully preserved.
