General Overview
The Omega Reference 2709 (specifically OT 2709 in the Trésor collection) is an iconic 1950s Swiss dress watch. Produced around 1952–1953, it is celebrated for its sleek solid gold cases, elegant sculpted lugs, and early "bumper" automatic movement. It well represents the transition period where classic dress watches adopt sharper, more architectural designs. It features an early "bumper" (semi-rotor) automatic system rather than a full 360-degree rotor.
