General Overview
Back in the days Military Air Forces used to issue Chronographs or other kind of watches for their pilots. Some of them, like the British Royal Air Force with the dirty dozen for example, used to order to Swiss brands the construction of a specific watch for their needs. Others, like the Argentinian Air Force used to buy and assign standard production watches. The FAA used to assign for its pilots Universal Geneve, Omega and later on Heuer.
