General Overview
The reference 3445 was the first automatic watch with a date produced by the maker in a series. This complication was incredibly useful at the time. The 3445 was first produced in 1961, with the automatic date display caliber 27-460M (Where M stands for Mono-date) untill 1981. 3 series were made during these 20years production with some little differences. All the series however bears the same case maker sign by Antoine Gerlach (Key Number 4).
Description and Condition Report
Beautiful and collectible vintage Calatrava Case watch by Patek Philippe. This is a 3445 reference. This very well preserved example bears to the 2nd execution, made between the end of the 60s and the mid of the 70s. The 35mm size case, with screw back, appears to be unpolished. The case is characterized by sharp edges which makes the design distinguishing and recognizable. Original and mint soleil dial. Original logged winding crown. Automatic 12-460M caliber. Cool and collectible example.
