Among all the Patek vintage production, steel cases watches represent the minority. For this reason steel cased Patek are the most desired by collectors. The Patek Philippe ref 2451 is one the best expressions of the Calatrava design made by the maison during the 50s. It features a mid size waterproof case with screw back made by the famous Francoise Borgel maker (the same one of the historical ref 1463 Tasti Tondi or the ref 565 calatrava).

Beautiful and highly collectible Patek Philippe Calatrava Watch Ref 2451. Its steel 31mm waterproof case is very well preserved and possibly unpolished. To make this watch even more desirable it’s the provenance: this 2451 has been sold by Joyeria Ricciardi, the well known Argentinian retailer, and presents the typical stamped numbers behind one lug. The radium dial is original and uncleaned as you can see by the beautiful light creamy patina on it and the perfect enamel writings. With Extract.
